Description The mongoose’s fame is primarily based on its attacks of the King Cobra. It is a small carnivore found in Africa, southern Asia and southern Europe. It is cast and finished using the traditional materials and techniques Louis Lejeune has been famous for and features the Lejeune’s attention to detail and high quality. Offered here is the most popular finish of chrome-plate over bronze. Chrome is by far the most durable of finishes and will last for many years, if not decades. It does not corrode or oxidize and can be cleaned easily with hot water and soap. It is the finish that Lejeune usually has in stock. Other finishes are bronze-only, enamel, nickel, gold, antique silver and sterling silver. These are usually made to order and you can ask us about these options. The base is approximately 1/4″ thick. The hood ornament is attached by bolts to the hood of the car, and the mounting hardware is included with each one. However, some hood ornaments are suitable to be attached by magnets.
